Its MicroPure® filtration media boasts a 10-micron nominal rating and provides 222 square inches of surface area, a 106% increase over stock filters, ensuring more efficient contaminant capture. Construction details include a high-temperature rated neodymium magnet that attracts and holds ferrous particles, preventing them from circulating and potentially causing wear. The filter also features a robust bypass valve with a precision coil spring and a steel-NBR poppet for consistent performance, and a silicone anti-drainback valve that retains oil during engine shutdown, offering enhanced protection against dry starts. Further enhancing its durability and performance are a high-strength steel base plate with increased thread engagement and large oil passages, coupled with a durable metal center tube for media support.
