Previously, the Signature Series X pipe was limited to race track use as it replaced the factory catalysts and was not intended for highway use. These Stubbies transform your existing primary exhaust catalysts into a smaller, more compact unit. By cutting and welding the Stubbies to your BMW primary catalysts (requiring a competent technician), you create a resizable catalyst package that can be used for both street and track applications. This modular design allows for easy switching of front pipe sections to suit your driving conditions, and can be done repeatedly without the need for replacing gaskets. When installed with the Active Autowerke X-PIPE, the Stubbies enable your vehicle to meet OBD11 readiness compliance. This means you can enjoy the performance benefits of the X-PIPE on the street while still adhering to emissions requirements. The front section of the Active Signature X pipe is removable via V-Band clamps, facilitating the swap between the highway-ready configuration and the race-only setup. Please note that factory catalytic converters are not included with the Stubbies. This product is vehicle-specific for the BMW E9X M3 models from 2007-2013.
