It utilizes a large, 7-1/2 inch tall, 360-degree radial flow Pro 5R air filter. This filter features five layers of progressively finer cotton gauze media, ensuring maximum airflow and capturing more dirt over time, which leads to longer service intervals. The inverted top of the filter further increases its surface area. The system's one-piece sealed housing is constructed from durable, heat-resistant cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE). This design minimizes the number of parts required for installation and features a patent-pending filter-to-housing interface. An auxiliary air inlet is included, allowing for the option to draw additional air from the engine compartment or to be sealed with an included plug. The included intake tube is computer-designed and dyno-tuned using XLPE material for heat soak resistance and durability, inspired by import vehicle aesthetics. Hassle-free installation is facilitated by the included stainless-steel clamps and reinforced silicone couplings for robust connections. Billet aluminum fittings are provided to ensure a seamless integration with the stock components. The design ensures the sealed housing captures cool air directly from behind the front grille, optimizing performance. The system outflows the factory intake by 42%, with measured flow rates of 305 CFM @ 7 IN H2O.
