The MSD Ford Y-Block Pro-Billet Distributor is a high-performance ignition component designed to replace archaic breaker points with a maintenance-free non-magnetic pickup. This ensures stable trigger signals across the entire RPM range. It features a centrifugal advance mechanism that allows for adjustable mechanical advance, crucial for tuning Y-Block engines. The housing and base are CNC machined from billet aluminum for durability, while the polished steel shaft is QPQ coated and guided by a sealed ball bearing. The advance plate and weights are fine blanked from chrome moly steel and QPQ coated for reduced friction. This distributor requires an MSD 6, 7, or 8-series ignition control for optimal performance. It also includes a vacuum advance canister for improved economy, which can be locked out for crank trigger systems.
