The Dragon Fire High Performance Race Series Pro Billet Electronic Ignition Distributor is engineered to replace worn-out points distributors in a wide range of Chevy SBC and BBC engines, including the 327, 350, 396, 400, 427, and 454. This distributor boasts a precision magnetic pick-up, an oversized 0.500” steel shaft, a durable billet aluminum housing, and a sealed ball bearing for longevity. Its adjustable mechanical advance assembly allows for fine-tuning to maximize your engine's performance potential. Constructed with a corrosion-resistant bronze bushing shaft, a heavy-duty drive gear, and brass terminals, this distributor ensures reliable operation. It provides 65% more energy and 42% faster spark breakdown time compared to factory ignition systems. The electronic tachometer hookup allows for the connection of any 12-volt tachometer. For proper operation, a 12-volt external coil and an MSD 6AL style box are required. This product is intended for purpose-built competition engines only. The extensive fitment guide includes a broad range of Chevrolet vehicles from 1955 through 1976, covering various C/K series trucks, vans, El Caminos, Suburbans, and medium-duty trucks, primarily with engine displacements from 4.6L to 7.4L and without governors.
