This kit enhances the already robust Procomp system with larger calipers, rotors, and pads, more pistons, and standard full-floating rotors that improve self-centering and reduce drag for optimal performance. The calipers themselves are forged from a single piece of aircraft-grade aluminum, ensuring exceptional strength, minimal weight, and resistance to corrosion. Inside, aluminum pistons provide superior heat management. Construction highlights include a lightweight forged one-piece caliper, machined from aerospace-quality aluminum billet for uniform thickness and strength. Carbon steel caliper brackets, CNC machined, allow these larger calipers to bolt directly into the OEM caliper bracket location. The floating two-piece rotor design allows the outer section to shift slightly, improving caliper self-centering and ensuring more even brake application. Customers can choose between slotted or cross-drilled rotors; cross-drilled are recommended for daily drivers due to cooler operation, while slotted rotors are better suited for track use. The kit includes SC5 Street Pads, designed for optimal performance in street and occasional track conditions, offering a significant reduction in dust and noise compared to race pads, with an optimal operating temperature range of 194°F - 1022°F. DOT-compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines are also standard, eliminating line expansion under pressure for quicker pedal response and a firmer pedal feel.
