Building upon the Procomp kit, the Supercomp features larger calipers, rotors, and pads, along with an increased number of pistons and full-floating rotors to enhance self-centering and reduce brake drag. The calipers are precision-machined from a single billet of aircraft-grade aluminum, ensuring exceptional strength, light weight, and corrosion resistance. They incorporate aluminum pistons for superior heat management. This kit utilizes a floating two-piece rotor design, allowing the outer section to shift slightly for better self-centering within the caliper, leading to reduced drag and more even brake application. Buyers can choose between cross-drilled rotors, recommended for daily driven vehicles due to better cooling, or slotted rotors, preferred for track use. The kit comes standard with SC5 Street Pads, which offer optimal performance for street and occasional track use, significantly reducing dust and noise compared to race pads, with an optimal operating temperature range of 194°F - 1022°F. Standard on all Ksport brake kits are D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines. These lines prevent expansion under pressure, providing a quicker pedal response and a firmer pedal feel compared to stock rubber lines.
