The calipers are crafted from a single billet of aerospace-grade aluminum, ensuring exceptional lightweight strength and resistance to corrosion. Aluminum pistons are incorporated for superior heat dissipation and reliable operation under demanding conditions. Standard on all Supercomp systems are floating two-piece rotors, featuring an outer section that allows for slight movement, improving self-centering, reducing drag, and enhancing braking performance through more even application. Included with the kit are SC5 Street Pads, which offer optimal braking performance for both street driving and occasional track use, while reducing brake dust by over 50% compared to race pads. They also minimize noise and rotor wear, with optimal operating temperatures between 194°F - 1022°F. D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines are also standard, preventing expansion under pressure for quicker pedal response and a firmer pedal feel. Ksport offers customization for rotors, with options for either cross-drilled or slotted designs. Cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily-driven vehicles due to their superior cooling, while slotted rotors are better suited for track-focused applications.
