This kit builds upon the Procomp system with larger calipers, rotors, and pads, a higher piston count, and standard full-floating rotors that enhance self-centering and reduce drag for optimal performance. Each caliper is precision-machined from a single billet of aerospace-quality aluminum, ensuring exceptional strength, minimal weight, and superior corrosion resistance. The calipers also incorporate aluminum pistons, which offer better heat dissipation compared to standard materials, ensuring consistent braking performance under demanding conditions. The braking system utilizes a floating two-piece rotor design, standard on all Supercomp kits. This design allows the outer rotor section to move slightly, improving self-centering within the caliper for reduced brake drag and a more even, effective application of braking force. Buyers can choose between cross-drilled rotors, which offer improved cooling for daily driven vehicles, or slotted rotors, recommended for vehicles frequently used on the track. Included with the kit are NAOC Ceramic pads, optimized for street use and occasional track days, providing a 50% reduction in brake dust and less noise and wear compared to race pads, with an optimal operating temperature between 194°F - 1022°F. Additionally, D.O.T compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines are standard, minimizing line expansion under pressure for a quicker pedal response and a firmer pedal feel.
