The calipers themselves are forged from a single piece of aircraft-grade aluminum, ensuring exceptional strength, light weight, and resistance to corrosion. They also utilize aluminum pistons, which offer superior heat resistance. The two-piece floating rotor design is standard, allowing the outer rotor section to move slightly, which aids in self-centering, reduces brake drag, and improves performance through more even pad application. This kit includes Ksport's SC5 Street Pads, formulated from NAOC Ceramic material, providing optimal braking performance for street use and occasional track days. These pads significantly reduce brake dust (by 50% or more compared to race pads) and minimize noise and rotor wear, with an optimal operating temperature range between 194°F and 1022°F. Additionally, D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines are included, which prevent hose expansion under pressure, leading to a quicker pedal response and a firmer pedal feel compared to standard rubber lines.
