This sophisticated system builds upon the benefits of the Procomp kit by incorporating larger calipers, rotors, and brake pads, along with an increased number of pistons. A key feature is the standard full-floating rotor design, which enhances self-centering within the caliper for reduced brake drag and more consistent application. Construction highlights include one-piece forged calipers crafted from a solid billet of aerospace-quality aluminum, ensuring exceptional strength, light weight, and resistance to corrosion. These calipers also feature aluminum pistons for superior heat tolerance. For rotor options, customers can choose between slotted or cross-drilled designs, with slotted recommended for track use and cross-drilled for daily driving due to cooler operation. Standard equipment also includes D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines, which reduce line expansion under pressure for a quicker pedal response and a firmer pedal feel. Included with the kit are NAOC Ceramic SC5 street pads, optimized for street and occasional track conditions. These pads offer a significant reduction in brake dust (50% or more compared to race pads), noise, and rotor wear, with an optimal operating temperature range of 194°F - 1022°F. Ksport Big Brake kits are built to order, with production and delivery typically taking 4-6 weeks. Custom caliper color options are available, including standard painted colors and premium high-polish finishes, with over 20,000 custom color finishes also possible.
