This sophisticated, direct-fit bolt-on system builds upon the benefits of the Procomp kit by incorporating larger calipers, rotors, and brake pads, more pistons, and standard full-floating rotors. The full-floating rotor design allows for slight shifts, improving self-centering within the caliper, reducing drag, and ensuring more even application for boosted performance. Each caliper is precision-machined from a solid billet of aircraft-grade aluminum in a one-piece construction, ensuring unparalleled strength, light weight, and resistance to corrosion. These calipers also feature aluminum pistons, which offer superior heat resistance compared to standard materials. Additionally, DOT-compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines are standard, preventing line expansion under pressure for quicker pedal response and a firmer pedal feel. The Supercomp kit comes standard with SC5 Street Pads, which are designed to provide optimal braking performance for street use and occasional track days. These pads offer significantly reduced brake dust and noise compared to race pads, while minimizing rotor wear. They are optimal within a temperature range of 194°F to 1022°F. For rotor customization, you can choose between cross-drilled or slotted rotors. Cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily driven vehicles as they run cooler, while slotted rotors are better suited for vehicles that experience more track time.
