The calipers also feature aluminum pistons, which offer superior heat resistance and maintain optimal performance under demanding conditions. Ksport utilizes CNC-machined Carbon Steel caliper brackets to ensure a direct bolt-on fitment to your OEM caliper bracket locations, accommodating the larger Ksport calipers. The Supercomp systems come standard with two-piece floating rotors. The floating design allows the outer rotor section to shift slightly, promoting better self-centering within the caliper. This not only reduces brake drag but also enhances overall performance through more consistent pad application. Customers can choose between cross-drilled rotors, which offer better cooling for daily-driven vehicles, or slotted rotors, recommended for track use. The kit includes Ksport's SC5 Street Pads, designed for optimal performance in street and occasional track conditions, offering a significant reduction in brake dust, noise, and rotor wear, with an optimal operating temperature range of 194°F - 1022°F. Additionally, D.O.T.-compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines are included, which prevent line expansion under pressure, leading to quicker pedal response and a firmer pedal feel compared to stock rubber lines.
