This sophisticated bolt-on system requires no vehicle modifications for installation, making it a direct enhancement over stock components. It builds upon the Procomp kit's foundation with larger calipers, rotors, and pads, coupled with an increased number of pistons and standard full-floating rotors. This design ensures superior self-centering within the caliper, contributing to more even pad application and reduced drag. Construction focuses on strength and heat resistance. The calipers are forged from a one-piece billet of aircraft-grade aluminum, offering exceptional lightweight strength and immunity to corrosion. Aluminum pistons are utilized for their superior heat resistance. The two-piece floating rotor design further enhances performance by allowing slight adjustments for better self-centering, which lowers brake drag and optimizes braking force. Included in the kit are NAOC Ceramic SC5 street pads, designed for optimal performance on the street and during occasional track days. These pads significantly reduce brake dust by over 50% compared to race pads, while also minimizing noise and rotor wear. The optimal operating temperature range for these pads is between 194°F and 1022°F. Customization is a key feature, with brake calipers available in standard painted colors (Orange, Red, Black, Yellow) and premium high-polish finishes (Silver, Gold, Titanium), as well as glassy/hard anodized colors. Over 20,000 custom color finishes are also an option. Rotors can be specified as either slotted or cross-drilled. Cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily driven vehicles as they run cooler, while slotted rotors are suggested for vehicles more frequently used on the track. Ksport Big Brake kits are built to order and typically require 4-6 weeks for production and delivery. This kit is generally compatible with 2WD vehicles only unless explicitly stated otherwise.
