This sophisticated kit offers a direct bolt-on installation, eliminating the need for vehicle modifications. It builds upon the foundation of the Procomp kit by incorporating larger calipers, rotors, and brake pads, along with an increased number of pistons and standard full-floating rotors to ensure optimal self-centering within the caliper. The calipers themselves are crafted from a solid billet of aerospace-quality aluminum, utilizing a one-piece forged construction. This method ensures exceptional strength, minimal weight, and superior corrosion resistance compared to cast or welded alternatives. Aluminum pistons are standard, providing enhanced heat dissipation and reliable operation under demanding conditions. This Supercomp kit features a floating two-piece rotor design, where the outer braking surface can shift slightly. This allows for better self-centering within the caliper, which in turn reduces brake drag and improves overall performance through more consistent pad application. Standard on this kit are NAOC Ceramic SC5 street pads, offering optimal braking performance for street use and occasional track days, with significantly reduced dust, noise, and rotor wear. D.O.T compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines are also included, improving pedal response and feel by eliminating line expansion under pressure. Customers can choose between slotted or cross-drilled rotors. Cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily driven vehicles due to their superior cooling capabilities, while slotted rotors are suggested for more frequent track use. The brake calipers are available in standard painted colors like Orange, Red, Black, and Yellow, with options to upgrade to premium finishes such as Silver, Gold, Titanium, or glass/hard anodized colors, offering extensive customization possibilities.
