This sophisticated bolt-on system enhances your vehicle's braking performance with larger calipers, rotors, and brake pads, an increased piston count, and standard full-floating rotors for improved self-centering and reduced drag. Each caliper is precision-machined from a solid billet of aerospace-grade aluminum, ensuring exceptional strength, light weight, and resistance to corrosion. The aluminum pistons offer superior heat resistance for consistent performance. This kit incorporates a floating two-piece rotor design, where the outer section of the rotor can shift slightly, aiding in self-centering within the caliper for more even application and reduced brake drag. The calipers are available in various standard painted colors like orange, red, black, and yellow, with premium high-polish and custom color finishes also available. Ksport includes their SC5 Street Pads, formulated with NAOC Ceramic material, which provide optimal braking for street use and occasional track conditions. These pads significantly reduce brake dust, noise, and rotor wear compared to race pads, with an optimal operating temperature range of 194°F - 1022°F. Further enhancing performance, the kit features D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines that resist expansion under pressure, leading to quicker pedal response and a firmer pedal feel than stock rubber lines. You can select either slotted or cross-drilled rotors; slotted rotors are recommended for track use, while cross-drilled rotors are suggested for daily drivers as they run cooler. Ksport Big Brake kits are built to order, with production and delivery typically taking 4-6 weeks. This kit is designed to fit various BMW 1 Series models from 2007-2012, including specific trims like the 120i, 125i, 128i, 130i, 135i, 135is, and the 1 Series M Base.
