This advanced, bolt-on system builds upon the benefits of the Procomp kit by incorporating larger calipers, rotors, and pads, along with an increased number of pistons and full-floating rotors for enhanced self-centering within the caliper. The calipers are meticulously crafted from a solid billet of one-piece, aircraft-grade aluminum, ensuring exceptional strength, light weight, and resistance to corrosion over time. These calipers feature opposed-piston designs with aluminum pistons and high-temperature seals for consistent pad wear and reliable performance even under demanding conditions. Carbon steel caliper brackets are included to facilitate direct bolt-on installation to the OEM caliper bracket location. The Supercomp system utilizes two-piece rotors, available in either slotted or cross-drilled configurations, which significantly reduce rotational mass compared to OEM rotors, contributing to improved brake response and lighter overall weight. The two-piece design allows the rotor's outer section to expand and contract independently, minimizing the risk of warping due to heat buildup. Center sections are made from 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum, acting as effective heat sinks. Slotted rotors are recommended for track use due to their ability to dissipate heat, dust, and gases, while cross-drilled rotors are suggested for daily driving as they tend to run cooler. For serious track use, the rotors feature a full-floating design that allows the outer section to shift slightly, promoting better self-centering, reduced brake drag, and more even application. The kit includes NAOC Ceramic SC5 Street Brake Pads, designed for optimal street performance with reduced dust and noise, and capable of operating between 194°F and 1022°F. An upgrade to RCI Carbon Metallic Race Pads is available for extreme track conditions, with optimal operating temperatures between 482°F and 1472°F. D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines are also standard, providing a firmer pedal feel and quicker response by preventing expansion under pressure. Custom caliper color options, including standard painted colors and premium finishes, are available for personalization. All Ksport Big Brake Kits come with a 12-month limited warranty against manufacturer defects. Please note that Ksport Big Brake kits are built to order, and production and delivery typically take 4-6 weeks. This system is appropriate for 18-inch wheels and larger.
