Constructed from robust 4340 forged steel, these H-beam rods are built to withstand demanding conditions. Key features include a 6.125-inch center-to-center length, a floating wrist pin style with a 0.927-inch bore diameter, and a 2.100-inch rod journal diameter. They are clearanced for stroker applications and can accommodate most camshafts with a 4.250-inch stroke, with potential for minor cylinder notching. Each rod is meticulously balanced to within +/- 1 gram per end and Magnafluxed to ensure flawlessness. The shot-peened finish helps to remove potential stress risers, enhancing overall longevity. These connecting rods are rated for up to 1,200 horsepower in boosted applications and up to 5,000 ft. per minute average piston speed. This set includes ARP 2000 rod bolts with a 7/16-inch diameter and 200,000 psi tensile strength. It is important to note that the large chamfer on the big end of the rod must be facing the fillet of the crank's rod journal during installation. The recommended torque specification is two steps to 30 ft-lbs plus an additional 50 degrees, or to 82 ft-lbs.
