Pro Race Axle Package

The Strange Engineering Pro Race axle package is designed for 1994-2004 Ford Mustang models equipped with 8.8-inch rear ends. These axles are forged from Hy-Tuf alloy steel, a high-strength material originally developed for military aircraft landing gear, and are thru-hardened to achieve 240,000 PSI tensile strength while retaining necessary ductility for drag racing. The included C-clip eliminator kit features billet aluminum caliper mounts to accept OEM brakes, aluminum inner halves, and Timken tapered unit bearings for extended service life. The kit also includes 1/2-20 chrome moly screw-in wheel studs, available in 2-inch or 3-inch lengths, which feature rolled threads for increased structural integrity. Regarding compatibility, this kit will NOT work with factory reluctor rings. For vehicles equipped with ABS, you must purchase a custom reluctor ring separately, as the factory components are incompatible. Assembly order is crucial for proper installation; instructions should be read thoroughly beforehand. This package is optimized specifically for drag racing applications.
