The ARP Pro Series 208-4303 is a professional-grade 12-point head stud kit engineered for Honda/Acura B18C1 VTEC engines with a displacement of 1.8L/1797cc. These head studs are manufactured from premium 8740 Chrome Moly alloy, a material known for its durability and strength. After heat treatment, the studs achieve a tensile strength of 200,000 PSI, ensuring robust performance under demanding conditions. ARP's manufacturing process involves centerless grinding for exceptional concentricity and thread rolling after heat treatment. This post-heat-treat threading process results in approximately 1000% better fatigue strength compared to studs threaded before heat treatment, a common industry practice that compromises strength. The kit includes parallel ground washers, 8740 chromoly steel 12-point nuts, and a .5 oz. pack of ARP Ultra-Torque fastener assembly lubricant to aid in proper installation and performance.
