Pro Series Rear Brake Kit

The Strange Engineering Pro Series Rear Brake Kit is engineered for drag racing applications, specifically designed for 3.150″ symmetrical housing ends. This comprehensive kit includes one-piece forged steel slotted rotors for superior strength and improved airflow, reducing the risk of bolt loosening and hat cracking. The four-piston aluminum calipers are directional and feature stainless steel pistons, known for their corrosion resistance and ability to reduce caliper weight. Additionally, anti-rattle clips are included to minimize brake pad vibration and noise. The caliper design incorporates varied piston sizes (1.625″ & 1.750″) to effectively manage pad pressure and reduce taper. The kit also features billet aluminum caliper mounts with a one-piece design, eliminating the need for maintenance-requiring spacers and bolts. The included DTC-30 Semi Metallic Brake Pads offer excellent starting-line cold holding power and are recommended for vehicles running 150 MPH or less in the 1/4 mile. Installation and compatibility require specific components: Strange H1131 housing ends or equivalent, a 2.832″ brake offset, and ball-style axle bearings, as the caliper mount relief is not designed for tapered bearings. An optional upgrade to B5080 Evolution 4 Low Profile Calipers is available, which increases caliper-to-wheel clearance for beadlocks and reduces the overall caliper diameter.
