The shifter features a self-centering spring for consistent feedback and includes adjustable gear lock-outs for reverse, 1st/2nd, and 5th/6th gears.

The Coolerworx Pro Short Shifter is engineered to enhance the driving experience in VW Golf GTI and R models (MK7, MK7.5) by providing significantly shorter and more precise gear changes. The design incorporates a self-centering spring, ensuring consistent shifter feedback even under demanding driving conditions like hard braking or cornering. For added control and to prevent accidental gear engagement during spirited driving, this shifter features adjustable gear lock-outs for reverse, 1st/2nd, and 5th/6th gears. These lock-outs are easily adjusted via screw-stops and are released through a smooth, cable-controlled pull-up collar. Constructed from aircraft-grade 7075 aluminum for the main body and 304-grade stainless steel for the shifter base plate, the Coolerworx Pro Short Shifter is built to meet the rigorous demands of motorsport. It is developed in-house by passionate engineers and tested by racing drivers worldwide, with CNC machining and hand-assembly performed in Europe. The shifter is compatible with a wide range of VW Golf, GTI, and R models from 2015 to 2021, including the Alltrack and Sportwagen variants with 1.8T and 2.0T engines, as well as TDi models for certain years.
