The Coolerworx Pro Short Shifter is a precision-engineered bottom-mount shifter designed to enhance the driving experience in compatible VW, Audi, Skoda, and Seat models with 02J, 02M, and 02Q transmissions. This shifter is constructed from aircraft-grade 7075 aluminum and 304-grade stainless steel for the base plate, ensuring rigidity and reliability suitable for motorsports. It features a self-centering spring that keeps the shifter centered during hard braking and cornering, providing consistent feedback. Additionally, it includes an adjustable gear lock-out system via screw-stops for reverse, 1st/2nd, and 5th/6th gears, preventing accidental engagement during spirited driving. This system is released by a smooth, cable-controlled pull-up collar. This design leads to a more engaging and precise feel with every shift. The shifter is CNC machined and hand-assembled in Europe by engineers and tested by racing drivers.
