Designed for the E140, E170, and ZRE172 Sedan chassis (2009-2019) with front-wheel drive, these coilovers utilize a digressive damping system. This technology provides firmer damping at low shaft speeds, leading to improved chassis control during aggressive driving maneuvers such as cornering and braking. At higher shaft speeds, such as when encountering road imperfections like potholes or speed bumps, the digressive valving allows for more fluid movement, resulting in a more compliant absorption of impacts and a reduction in harshness. The system includes front pillowball upper mounts with camber plates for adjustability and rear steel mounts without pillowballs. Spring rates are set at 7k for the front and 6k for the rear, aiming to balance sporty feel with acceptable ride comfort for enthusiasts who engage in spirited driving, autocross, or occasional track use. While these coilovers offer enhanced control and reduced body roll, potential users should note that the ride may feel firmer at low speeds compared to stock suspension. There is also a possibility of increased NVH (Noise, Vibration, Harshness) entering the cabin.
