The Skunk2 Pro-ST Coilovers are engineered to be a high-performance, single-adjustable suspension system for 1990-2005 Mazda Miata NA/NB models. The 12-way adjustable dampening allows for precise tuning of compression and rebound, while the independent threaded shock bodies enable separate adjustments for ride height and spring preload. This independent adjustment capability is crucial for maintaining adequate suspension travel even on lowered vehicles, enhancing overall performance and comfort. Construction highlights include a one-piece forged shock body, micro-polished oversized piston shafts for smooth operation, and billet aluminum spring perches for durability. The system employs CNC-wound SAE9254V racing springs with specific rates of 8 kg/mm for the front and 6 kg/mm for the rear, tailored for optimal handling balance. Skunk2 emphasizes rigorous in-house design, simulation, and extensive real-world testing, including dyno, street, and track validation, ensuring their products meet extreme performance demands. Installation Note: For 2001-2005 Miata models, modification to the front upper A-arm or replacement with a '99-'00 upper A-arm is required for proper fitment. The system is compatible with various Miata generations, including the 1.6L B6ZE (90-93), 1.8L BP (94-97), 1.8L BP-4W (99-00), 1.8L BP-Z3 (01-05), and the Mazdaspeed 1.8L BP-4W (04-05).
