The Powerglide Pro Tree Transbrake with Safety Reverse (APG-28999PT) is an OEM valve body that has been converted for trans-brake use. Designed for 1962-1973 Powerglide transmissions, this unit offers advanced features for performance applications. Key components include CNC machined aluminum separator plates and a CNC machined reverse spool valve, ensuring precision and reliability. It is equipped with American-made two-wire solenoids, chosen for their ultimate consistency and durability. The trans-brake features hydraulic release and a crucial safety reverse function. This safety mechanism prevents the engagement of reverse unless the shifter is in the reverse position and the trans-brake button is depressed. For those seeking full tree operation, this valve body can be easily converted by adding the APG-28999FTSP Full Tree Separator Plate. The original PRN21 shift pattern is retained.
