The Tomei Procam is a high-performance intake camshaft specifically engineered for the Toyota 4AG 4-valve engine. This camshaft is designed to replace factory components, utilizing a 288-degree work angle and 10.0mm of lift to optimize air intake efficiency during engine operation. Each camshaft undergoes a specialized production process to ensure durability and precision. The surface is treated with a manganese phosphate coating applied through a steeping press process, creating a thin, protective layer between 0.5 and 15 micrometers. This coating is intended to protect the camshaft from wear and prevent direct metal-to-metal contact, especially during initial start-up periods when lubrication may be limited. Strict quality inspections are performed throughout the manufacturing cycle to ensure each unit meets performance standards.
