The Tomei Procam Intake Camshaft (TA301C-NS05D) is engineered with a proprietary VALC profile for the RB26DETT engine. This advanced design allows valves to open more rapidly and remain open longer, significantly increasing the area under the lift curve. This optimization directly translates to greater air intake and, consequently, more engine power. Beyond increased lift, the VALC profile is crucial for valve train longevity. Unlike conventional camshafts, it ensures a slower valve closing rate, mitigating common issues associated with aggressive valve train operation. The design carefully balances maximum lift with reduced cam velocity to prevent lobe over-travel on the valve lifter, thus avoiding damage to both components and reducing stress and wear on the valve train. This results in optimized engine performance, particularly for high-power setups, offering higher lift compared to standard profiles with similar duration. It is important to note that this product is intended for OFF ROAD use only and may not be legal for street use.
