The Tomei Camshaft Procam/Poncam is a high-performance camshaft engineered for VQ35DE G1, VQ35DE G2, and VQ35HR engines. Available in multiple profiles, including EX 282-11.00, EX 274-11.00, EX 258-10.20, IN 282-11.30, IN 274-11.30, IN 258-10.20, and various SET configurations, these camshafts are designed to optimize engine performance. When installing camshafts with a cam lift greater than 11.0mm, upgrading the valve springs is a mandatory requirement, and these are sold separately. Furthermore, if utilizing camshafts with a cam lift exceeding 11.0mm on the intake side, there is a potential for valve-to-piston contact, especially when the eVTC advances the timing. To prevent potential engine damage, it is strongly recommended to recess the pistons to ensure adequate clearance. For instance, with stock heads and pistons and the eVTC engaged, approximately 1mm of valve recess on the piston is typically needed to achieve sufficient clearance.
