The Tomei Procam Solid Camshaft Set (TA301A-NS11A) is engineered for the CA18DE(T) engine found in 1989-1990 Nissan Silvia and 180SX models. This camshaft set is designed with a VALC profile, which deliberately reduces maximum cam velocity to maximize lobe travel on the valve lifter without exceeding its outer edge. This feature is crucial for high-lift camshafts, preventing lobe contact with the lifter's edge and thus reducing wear and potential damage to both components. With a duration of 272 degrees and a cam lift of 10.25mm for both intake and exhaust, these camshafts are optimized for high power applications and high RPM use. They are ideal for drift, track, and drag racing scenarios. The design also aims to reduce stress and wear on the valve train, contributing to increased longevity for performance builds. Please note that this kit requires several additional parts for proper installation and operation. These include Tomei Valve Springs (TA304A-NS11A), Tomei Valve Lifters (TA307A-NS11A), and appropriate valve shims (Product numbers starting in TA307E-NS***). Additionally, adjustable cam gears are mandatory for use with this camshaft set.
