The Ksport Procomp Front Big Brake Kit is a sophisticated bolt-on brake upgrade engineered to significantly enhance stopping power for the MINI R56 Cooper, particularly under sustained high-heat conditions. Constructed with a focus on lightweight strength and durability, this kit features one-piece forged aluminum calipers with opposed pistons for consistent brake pad grip and wear. The calipers utilize aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel wear plates. Lightweight 6061-T6 aluminum center sections further contribute to lower rotational mass and act as effective heat sinks. This kit comes standard with Ksport's SC5 Street Pads, offering optimal braking performance for daily driving and occasional track use with reduced dust and noise. An upgrade to RCI Race Pads is available for extreme track conditions. The system also includes D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines, which eliminate hose expansion under pressure for quicker pedal response and a firmer pedal feel compared to stock rubber lines. Carbon steel caliper brackets ensure direct bolt-on installation to OEM locations. Customization options are available, including various caliper colors, rotor styles (cross-drilled for daily driving or slotted for track use), and upgrades to titanium or anodized aluminum center bells.
