The Ksport Procomp Big Brake Kit is engineered to provide superior stopping power for the 1998-2005 Volkswagen Golf MK4 with the 1.8T engine. This rear kit includes a high-performance ProComp 4-piston caliper finished in black, a 330mm (13-inch) drilled rotor designed for optimal cooling, and durable stainless steel brake lines. These components work together to significantly reduce brake fade and improve overall braking performance. Constructed with an emphasis on performance and durability, the lightweight caliper is machined from aircraft-quality billet and features a differential bore configuration. It incorporates aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, and stainless steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston design increases caliper rigidity and ensures more even pad wear compared to OEM setups. The 2-piece floating disc assembly minimizes both rotating and unsprung weight, while also mitigating thermal stress to prevent warping and cupping of the braking surface. The cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily-driven vehicles due to their enhanced cooling capabilities. It is important to note that the OEM handbrake function will not be operational with this kit installed. This kit is specifically designed for the MK4 chassis and fits the 1.8T and 1.9L Diesel Turbocharged engines.
