The Ksport Procomp Rear Big Brake Kit is engineered to provide the ultimate in stopping power for your vehicle, specifically targeting the Volkswagen MK4 Golf 1.8T. This sophisticated bolt-on brake upgrade enhances brake performance under sustained high-heat conditions. The kit includes replacement calipers, 356mm x 32mm two-piece rotors, brake pads, and stainless-steel brake lines. The calipers are constructed from a one-piece forged billet of aerospace-quality aluminum, ensuring lightweight strength and resistance to corrosion. An opposed-piston design ensures consistent brake pad grip and wear. Standard features include high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The two-piece rotor design contributes to weight reduction and fade-free performance. The rotor's outer section can expand and contract independently, reducing warping from heat buildup, while the aluminum center sections act as heat sinks. Cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily driven vehicles as they run cooler than slotted rotors, though both types offer increased bite and pad surface cleaning. For vehicles primarily used for track driving, slotted rotors are recommended to manage heat, dust, and gases. This kit is made to order and is non-refundable. The Procomp Big Brake Kit offers customization options including caliper color, pad type (Street or Race), and center bell upgrades.
