The Ksport Procomp Big Brake Kit offers a significant upgrade in stopping power for your MINI R50 Cooper's rear braking system. It replaces your stock components with high-performance parts, ensuring greater reliability and fade resistance. Constructed from aerospace-grade aluminum, the one-piece forged calipers are exceptionally lightweight and strong, eliminating weak spots found in cast or welded designs. These calipers utilize aluminum pistons and heavy-duty seals capable of handling racetrack temperatures, ensuring smooth operation and preventing corrosion. The opposed-piston design promotes consistent brake pad wear. The kit includes two-piece, 356mm x 32mm cross-drilled rotors, which are approximately 50% lighter than OEM one-piece rotors. Cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily driven vehicles as they help run cooler than slotted rotors. Included are D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines, which eliminate line expansion under pressure for a quicker pedal response and a firmer pedal feel. The kit comes standard with SC5 Street Pads, offering optimal braking performance for street and occasional track use, with reduced dust and noise. An upgrade to RCI Race Pads is available for extreme track conditions. This product is made to order and is non-refundable.
