The Ksport Procomp Big Brake Kit offers a significant upgrade in stopping performance, integrating advanced brake technology to combat brake fade and ensure consistent cooling of the brake pad surface. This rear brake system includes a lightweight ProComp 4-piston caliper, machined from aircraft-quality billet, and features differential bore configurations, high-temperature seals, and aluminum pistons. The opposed piston design enhances pad wear and caliper rigidity over stock systems. The kit utilizes 2-piece floating disc assemblies to reduce rotating and unsprung weight, while also managing thermal stresses that can cause warping. The rotors feature a unique slot design that helps expel gas and pad debris more effectively than conventional designs. This specific kit is designed for the 1998-2002 Honda Accord with a 5x114.3 bolt pattern. It is important to note that the OEM handbrake will not function with this big brake kit. Slotted rotors are recommended for vehicles primarily used for track driving, whereas cross-drilled rotors are suggested for daily-driven vehicles to run cooler.
