The calipers are crafted from a single billet of aerospace-quality aluminum using a one-piece forged construction, resulting in extreme lightweight (just over 5 lbs each) and unparalleled strength. This construction eliminates weak spots prone to fracturing or warping. The calipers feature aluminum pistons for better heat resistance, protected by heavy-duty high-temperature seals. An opposed-piston design ensures consistent brake pad wear and caliper rigidity, while stainless-steel brake pad retainer clips and wear plates are standard. The kit includes D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines, which prevent expansion under pressure for improved pedal response and a firmer feel. The lightweight 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum center sections act as effective heat sinks and reduce rotational mass, contributing to quicker wheel response. The two-piece design allows the outer rotor section to expand and contract independently, minimizing warping due to heat. Standard SC5 Street Pads are included, offering optimal braking for street and occasional track use with reduced dust and noise. An upgrade to RCI Race Pads is available for extreme track conditions.
