Procomp 6-Piston Rear Big Brake Kit

This kit integrates new brake technology to reduce brake fade and continually cools the brake pad surface during braking. The kit features an extreme lightweight 6-piston caliper machined from aircraft-quality billet, weighing just over 5lbs. It boasts a differential bore configuration, aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, and stainless steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston caliper design enhances pad wear and caliper rigidity over OEM designs, while stainless steel brake lines prevent expansion under pressure. The 2-piece floating disc assembly reduces rotating and unsprung weight, and prevents thermal stresses from warping the disc. The unique slotted rotor design expels gas and pad debris faster and reduces braking noise compared to conventional designs. Rotors are heat-treated and balanced for optimal performance; slotted rotors are recommended for track use. This specific kit, part number BKAU072-652SO, is designed for the rear position and includes a 380mm (15-inch) diameter slotted rotor and red 6-piston ProComp calipers. It is compatible with the 2008-2012 Audi A3 Sportback 2WD models equipped with the 2.0L Turbocharged engine. Please note that the OEM handbrake will not function with this kit.
