The Ksport Procomp Front Big Brake Kit, model BKAU050-831CO, is a sophisticated bolt-on brake upgrade engineered to deliver superior stopping power and enhance brake performance under sustained high-heat conditions for the Audi MK1 TT. This kit features lightweight, forged one-piece calipers constructed from aerospace-quality aluminum. The 8-piston design ensures consistent brake pad grip and wear, while aluminum pistons with high-temperature seals and opposed-piston design contribute to uncompromised operation and better heat resistance. The calipers also include high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel wear plates. The rotors are heat-treated and balanced. For daily driven vehicles, cross-drilled rotors are recommended as they run cooler than slotted rotors. Slotted rotors, which feature grooves to wipe away heat, dust, and gases, are recommended for track use. The kit includes D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines, which reduce pedal flex and provide a firmer pedal feel. Standard equipment includes SC5 street pads, offering optimal braking performance for street and occasional track use with reduced dust and noise. An upgrade to RCI Race Pads is available for extreme track conditions, though these are not recommended for street use due to their high operating temperature requirements. Customization options are available, including a wide range of caliper colors and optional upgrades for the center bell, such as titanium or twin-color anodized finishes.
