The Ksport Procomp 8 Piston Big Brake Kit is a sophisticated bolt-on brake upgrade engineered to significantly enhance braking power, especially under sustained high-heat conditions. This kit features 8-piston calipers, constructed from a one-piece billet of aircraft-grade aluminum, providing lightweight strength and corrosion resistance. The calipers also incorporate aluminum pistons for superior heat resistance and reliable operation. The kit utilizes two-piece rotors, available in either cross-drilled or slotted options, which contribute to lightweight performance, fade-free operation, and effective grip on both the track and street. Cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily driven vehicles due to cooler operation, while slotted rotors are suggested for more frequent track use. Included with the kit are SC5 Street Pads, formulated with NAOC Ceramic compound. These pads offer optimal braking performance for street and occasional track use, reducing brake dust by over 50% compared to race pads, while also minimizing noise and rotor wear. The optimal operating temperature range for these pads is between 194°F and 1022°F. Ksport Big Brake kits are built to order, with production and delivery typically taking 4-6 weeks. This specific kit is designed for the 1989-1994 Subaru Legacy.
