The calipers utilize aluminum pistons, protected by heavy-duty seals capable of handling racetrack temperatures, and an opposed-piston design for consistent pad wear. Standard features include high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The center sections are crafted from 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum, acting as heat sinks to dissipate heat effectively and prolong rotor life. Cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily driven vehicles as they run cooler, while slotted rotors are suggested for track use. Included with the kit are D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines, which prevent hose expansion under pressure for quicker pedal response and a firmer pedal feel. Standard SC5 Street Pads are provided for optimal street and occasional track use, offering reduced dust and noise. An upgrade to RCI Race Pads is available for extreme track conditions.
