The Ksport Procomp Big Brake Kit offers a significant upgrade in stopping power for the rear of your 2004-2005 Honda Civic Si (EP3 Chassis) with a 5x114.3 bolt pattern. This kit features an extreme lightweight SuperComp caliper with a differential bore configuration, machined from aircraft quality billet and weighing just over 5lbs. It incorporates aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, and stainless steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston caliper design enhances pad wear and caliper rigidity, while stainless steel brake lines prevent expansion under pressure. The kit includes 2-piece floating disc assemblies with 400mm (16in) drilled rotors. These floating discs reduce rotating and unsprung weight, and mitigate thermal stresses from extreme heat to prevent rotor warping. The unique slot design on the rotor reduces braking noise and expels gas and pad debris efficiently. Drilled rotors are recommended for daily driven vehicles as they tend to run cooler than slotted rotors. This specific kit is for the rear application and notes that the OEM handbrake will not function with this big brake kit installed.
