The Ksport Procomp Front Big Brake Kit is engineered to provide the ultimate in stopping power for your Mini Cooper R53 S Model (2002-2006). This advanced bolt-on system significantly enhances brake performance, especially under sustained high-heat conditions, making it ideal for both spirited driving and occasional track use. The kit features lightweight, forged one-piece calipers constructed from aerospace-quality aluminum. This design eliminates weak spots and ensures durability. The calipers utilize aluminum pistons with heavy-duty seals for optimal heat resistance and uncompromised operation, complemented by an opposed-piston design for consistent brake pad grip and wear. Standard SC5 Street Pads are included, offering optimal braking performance for street and occasional track use with reduced dust and noise. An upgrade to RCI Race Pads is available for extreme track conditions. Included are 330mm x 32mm two-piece rotors. This design offers reduced weight compared to OEM one-piece rotors, with lightweight 6061-T6 aluminum center sections that lower rotational mass and improve brake response. The two-piece construction also reduces the chance of rotor warping due to heat expansion. Cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily drivers for cooler operation, while slotted rotors are suggested for vehicles with more track use. This kit also includes D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines, which prevent expansion under pressure for quicker pedal response and a firmer pedal feel. Carbon steel caliper brackets ensure a direct bolt-on fit to OEM locations. The system is made to order and non-refundable, with a typical ETA of 4-6 weeks.
