The Ksport Procomp Big Brake Kit offers a significant upgrade in stopping power for your Volkswagen MK2 Golf, engineered to perform under sustained high-heat conditions. This sophisticated bolt-on system replaces your stock brakes with high-performance components, including lightweight, forged one-piece calipers made from aerospace-quality aluminum. These calipers eliminate weak spots found in cast or welded designs, ensuring longevity and preventing warping or failure over time. The aluminum pistons are protected with heavy-duty seals capable of handling racetrack temperatures, promoting smooth operation and preventing corrosion. The 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum center sections reduce rotational mass for quicker stopping response and act as heat sinks, dissipating heat effectively. For daily driven vehicles, cross-drilled rotors are recommended as they run cooler than slotted rotors. Standard SC5 Street Pads are included, offering optimal braking performance for street and occasional track use with reduced dust and noise. An upgrade to RCI Race Pads is available for extreme track conditions. This Ksport Big Brake Kit is made to order and is non-refundable. The kit includes replacement calipers, rotors, pads, and D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines, which offer a firmer pedal feel and quicker response compared to stock rubber lines. Customization options for caliper color and center bell upgrades are available to personalize your brake system. This kit is compatible with Volkswagen Golf MK2 models from 1988-1992, specifically for 2WD vehicles. It excludes Rally and AWD fitments.
