The Ksport Procomp Big Brake Kit offers a significant upgrade in stopping power for your Saab 9-3 (2003-2012), specifically designed for models including the 1.8T, 2.0T, 2.0T Aero, and 2.8T Aero. The system features a lightweight, one-piece forged caliper made from aircraft-grade billet aluminum, equipped with aluminum pistons and high-temperature seals. Its opposed-piston design enhances pad grip and ensures more even wear compared to stock calipers. This big brake kit utilizes a two-piece disc assembly with an aluminum center to reduce rotational mass and unsprung weight, leading to quicker braking response and shorter stopping distances. Many applications offer a floating disc option to mitigate thermal stresses and prevent rotor warping. The unique slot design on the rotors helps dissipate heat, dust, and gases, reducing braking noise and improving performance. Slotted rotors are recommended for track use, while cross-drilled rotors tend to run cooler and offer increased initial bite, making them suitable for daily driven vehicles. Ksport offers various pad options, including the SC5 Street pads with a low-dust ceramic compound for everyday driving, and RC1 Race Pads for extreme track conditions.
