ProComp Extreme Caliper Kit

The Ksport Supercomp Big Brake Kit offers a significant upgrade in stopping power, integrating advanced brake technology to reduce fade and continually refresh the brake pad surface. The extreme lightweight SuperComp caliper, forged from aircraft-quality billet aluminum, features a differential bore configuration with much larger pistons for superior performance. It includes aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston caliper design enhances pad wear and rigidity, while stainless-steel brake lines prevent expansion under pressure. Each SuperComp caliper requires four brake pads due to its substantial size. The kit features a 2-piece floating disc assembly designed to reduce both rotating and unsprung weight. This floating disc design also mitigates thermal stresses from extreme heat, preventing disc warping or cupping. The unique slot design on the rotor helps minimize braking noise and efficiently expels gas and pad debris. Rotors are heat-treated and balanced for optimal performance; cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily-driven vehicles as they tend to run cooler, while slotted rotors are better suited for track use. Standard equipment includes Ksport SC5 Street Pads, made from NAOC ceramic material, offering optimal braking performance for street and occasional track use within operating temperatures of 194°F – 1022°F. These pads reduce brake dust by over 50% compared to race pads and offer reduced noise and rotor wear. An optional upgrade to Ksport RC5 Race Pads (carbon metallic) is available for extreme track conditions, with optimal operating temperatures from 482°F – 1472°F, making them unsuitable for street use. This kit is specifically designed for the Porsche 911 996 model, fitting Carrera submodels with 3.4L engines (1999-2001) and 3.6L engines (2002-2004).
