The aluminum pistons are protected by heavy-duty seals capable of handling high temperatures, while the opposed-piston design promotes consistent brake pad grip and wear. High-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates are standard features. The two-piece rotor design contributes to lightweight, fade-free performance. The rotor's outer section can expand and contract independently, reducing the risk of warping due to heat. Lightweight 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum center sections reduce rotational mass, leading to quicker brake response. Standard equipment includes SC5 Street Pads, which offer optimal braking performance for street and occasional track use with reduced dust and noise. D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines are also included, providing a quicker pedal response and firmer pedal feel compared to stock rubber lines. Customization options are available, including a choice of caliper colors, rotor styles (cross-drilled for daily driving or slotted for track use), and upgrades to RCI Race Pads for extreme track conditions.
