Procomp Front Big Brake Kit

Constructed from aerospace-quality aluminum, the one-piece forged calipers are exceptionally lightweight and offer unparalleled strength. This design eliminates weak spots that can lead to fracturing or warpage over time. The calipers feature aluminum pistons protected by heavy-duty seals capable of handling racetrack temperatures, ensuring smooth operation and preventing corrosion. An opposed-piston design guarantees consistent brake pad grip and wear on both sides of the rotor, with standard features including high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The Procomp Big Brake systems utilize two-piece rotors, which contribute to lighter weight and fade-free performance. These rotors offer effective grip on the track and comfortable operation during normal driving. The two-piece design allows the outer rotor section to expand and contract independently, significantly reducing the chance of warping due to heat buildup. The lightweight center sections, crafted from 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum, reduce rotational mass, making wheels easier to stop and providing a more responsive brake feel. Cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily driven vehicles as they tend to run cooler than slotted rotors, while slotted rotors are advised for vehicles with more track use due to their ability to dissipate heat, dust, and gases more effectively. Standard equipment includes SC5 Street Pads, which offer optimal braking performance for street and occasional track use, with reduced dust and noise. An upgrade to RCI Race Pads is available for extreme track conditions, though these are not recommended for street use. The kit also includes D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines, which prevent expansion under pressure, provide quicker pedal response, and offer a firmer pedal feel compared to stock rubber lines. The kit is made to order, and customization options for caliper color and center bell upgrades are available.
