Each caliper is meticulously crafted from a solid billet of aerospace-grade aluminum, ensuring lightweight strength and corrosion resistance. The opposed-piston design further contributes to even pad grip and wear. Standard features include high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. Lightweight 6061-T6 aluminum center sections act as effective heat sinks, dissipating heat away from the braking system. The Procomp system offers a choice between cross-drilled rotors, recommended for daily drivers due to cooler operation, and slotted rotors, favored for track use as they help manage heat, dust, and gases. This kit comes standard with SC5 Street Pads, offering optimal braking for street and occasional track use with reduced dust and noise. An upgrade to RCI Race Pads is available for extreme track conditions. The kit also includes D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines, which prevent expansion under pressure for a quicker pedal response and a firmer pedal feel compared to stock rubber lines. Carbon steel caliper brackets ensure a direct bolt-on installation to OEM locations. Customization options include a wide array of caliper colors, center bell upgrades, and pad choices.
