The Ksport Procomp BMW X6 Rear Big Brake Kit offers the ultimate in stopping power, serving as a sophisticated bolt-on brake upgrade. The calipers are constructed from a single piece of aircraft-grade aluminum, ensuring exceptional strength, reduced weight, and resistance to corrosion. They feature aluminum pistons for superior heat management and reliable operation. This big brake system utilizes a 2-piece rotor design, common in high-performance applications, to provide a lightweight solution that combats fade and offers effective grip. The two-piece design also helps mitigate rotor warping caused by heat buildup, as the outer section can expand and contract independently. Center sections act as heat sinks, dissipating thermal energy efficiently. The kit comes standard with Cross Drilled rotors, recommended for daily-driven vehicles due to their cooler operating temperatures compared to slotted rotors, and they help to clean and refresh the pad surface. For vehicles with more track use, Slotted Rotors are available as an upgrade. Rear kits include 2-piston calipers for 11" and 12" rotor applications, or 4-piston calipers for 13" and 14" rotor applications, enhancing pad wear and caliper rigidity over stock designs. The standard kit includes forged monoblock aluminum calipers, lightweight two-piece rotors (slotted or drilled), SC5 Street Brake Pads, stainless steel braided brake lines (which prevent expansion under pressure for quicker pedal response), and all necessary mounting hardware. Optional upgrades include RCI Race Pads for extreme track conditions and various custom caliper color finishes. A 12-month limited warranty covering manufacturer defects is included.
