Procomp Rear Big Brake Kit

Designed for the rear of the Mitsubishi Lancer models from 2007 to 2013 (2.0L models), this kit offers a direct replacement with minimal tools required for installation. The kit features a unique, extremely lightweight one-piece caliper, CNC machined from aircraft-quality billet aluminum, weighing just over 5 lbs. This caliper design includes protection grooves for bridge tubes and utilizes opposed pistons for improved pad wear and caliper rigidity compared to OEM designs. Standard features include aluminum pistons for corrosion resistance and lighter weight, high-temperature seals, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston caliper design also greatly improves pad grip and reduces uneven wear. The kit incorporates a 2-piece disc assembly, which reduces both rotating and unsprung weight. A floating disc option is available for many applications to mitigate thermal stresses from extreme heat that can warp the disc or cup the braking surface. The unique slot design on the rotor effectively reduces braking noise and expels gas and pad debris more efficiently than conventional designs. Ksport ensures optimal performance by heat-treating and balancing every rotor before shipment. For daily driven vehicles, cross-drilled rotors are recommended for cooler operation, while slotted rotors are advised for vehicles seeing more track use. Buyers can select between SC5 Street pads, a long-lasting, low-dust ceramic compound, or RC1 Race Pads, a carbon metallic compound designed for maximum stopping power under extreme track conditions.
